Lara Honos-Webb, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Walnut Creek, CA. She is author of The Gift of ADHD, The Gift of ADHD Activity Book, Listening to Depression, and more than twenty-five scholarly articles. Her work has been featured in Newsweek, the Wall Street Journal, Publisher's Weekly, and many newspapers across the country. She has appeared on national radio and television programs. Dr. recommended this to us, so I got it for my 17 year old son. He wouldn't do it on his own for sure, but I assigned 3 chapters a week as a chore, the chapters are so short, that might take 30 minutes total. I look over his answers later. I think it is a fairly painless way to get your ADHD kid to take a look at themselves and some possible solutions.

The activities are short, but thoughtful. We've been doing them together since my teen can't muster enough focus for one more thing after trying hard all day at school. I can see how they lead the reader along into reframing how they think and feel and react to ADHD. I also bought the Mindfulness one and think they will make a great one-two punch to help my teen prep for college since he's still struggling in high school.

This was meant for teenagers that are 16-17 who can reflect on themselves. It is not meant for younger teens

My daughter, who has ADD, completed this book in three days. She loved it and found it really helpful. I recommend it!!!

I like that it acknowledges various challenges, and breaks them up into small activities to help the teen be introspective to what challenges they are having and provides ideas on how to tackle them to be successful.

Great lesson for individual counseling or group. I use these lessons with my students in small groups and individual counseling sessions.

This is a great workbook. It's relatable for my teen, not boring. When he sits down with this, it engages him.

Our 11 year old has the Kindle version and really appreciated the book as it sort of told her that she was ok and not so different as she has ADHD. The only problem with the Kindle version is the exercises which she had to do in her head so we also bought the book version so she could complete them.

I do a few little league fields here in the Pittsburgh area and they always ask us back when the families and patrons of their games comment on our work. Great book if you are looking to take it to another level...

If ya want to make patterns on grass then this reading applies.....not much more though.

Excellent book! The Story of David Mellor and his techniques are great. Awesome book for that give a crap about their lawncare and ballfields.

The color plates show many examples of this art form, which will intrigue you. If you are like me, you expected to see only geometric shapes using straight lines. Instead, you find gentle waves and delicate crossing patterns of all kinds.Having worked in my father's gardening business when I was a youngster, I wish I had known about establishing these patterns. It certainly would have helped to relieve the boredom of cutting the same yards in one of three patterns time after time.The directions are very helpful for how to deal with special problems, like temporary damage, making a mistake in the pattern, and repeating a pattern (you are encouraged to photograph your work to learn from what you have done).Picture Perfect also has a long list of resources you can access, especially from the Internet.Although the quality of the design and the printing are not as high as the contents deserve, the material is strong enough to carry the result to five star level. As both a HOLLYWOOD historian and someone who actually worked at 20th Century-Fox, let me say that this book by Michael Troyan, Jeffrey Paul Thompson and Stephen X. Sylvester, is an absolute treasure...I make that statement unbiased, as I have never heard of or met these gentleman, but I do know the studio very, very well having spent 25 years there.Through this book TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX A Century of Entertainment, you too will come to know this studio very well. It has everything for both the movie buff and the novice. Incredible photos and 700 pages of detailed research, document the incredible history of this fine studio with the world famous searchlight logo.It will give the reader a studio tour that shows so much, from its creation to the present day. But for me, it was the rare "behind-the-scenes" photos of the studio sets and productions that really bring back the memories. You would never know or appreciate just what a fantastic studio lot it was visiting Century City in West Los Angeles today... Having sold off their back lot decades ago, and with all the skyscraper development since, this book is the only one that will show you all the iconic areas of western towns, churches, mansions, city streets, castles, lakes etc., that defined the only HOLLYWOOD studio purpose built for sound. It was MOVIETONE CITY, and Fox developed the sound system that became the industry standard.I produced a two-hour DVD history of the studio to celebrate it's 75th anniversary... This book though, goes way beyond that as it will give you many more happy hours when it brings back the memories of so many iconic movies that were made there!

Wow! From the outside, the size of it is like a college textbook. Inside it's packed with lots of photos and text. Of all the recent studio books, this one seems to be the most comprehensive.

Excellent overview of the history of this great movie studio; in addition to synopses of films themselves, there are numerous hard-to-find photos and texts of the making of some of the best films as well as photographic shots of the studio premises and soundstages, interactions with some of the stars and directors. Great stuff!

An amazing book. The very best I have seen of this type. Everything you want to knowabout 20th Century Fox is in this book. Well illustrated. The book is simply magnificent.For me, this has been the best purchase of the year.
