Paulette Bourgeois is the author of more than 40 books for children, including the In My Neighborhood series and Oma's Quilt. I teach and do story times in a dinosaur museum and it is amazing how common it is for young children to be afraid to see "real dinosaurs" or even the concept of skeletons. This is a great book for this and we have used it to calm feels in our preschool age classes.

We bought two of the Franklin books for our grandson's 3rd birthday. Our son and daughter-in-law purchased a stuffed Franklin toy to go with them. Our grandson loves hearing the stories!

My 6 and 4 year old boys both enjoyed this book. Franklin goes on a class trip to a museum and his friend tells him about the dinosaur. Franklin thinks there's a real dinosaur at the museum and is suddenly afraid to go on the trip. He sees other fun exhibits and forgets about the dinosaur until he is face to face with dinosaur bones! What a relief it's not real! My kids really liked this book and now want to go to a museum. All of the Franklin books are great for young kids and have enjoyable characters.

Franklin is every young child's friend. They can instantly connect with the young turtle's sense of adventure and enjoy watching him work through familiar problems and solve them in his own way. All of them have been authored by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark. They obviously made a wonderful team, since they have sold over 60 millions copies in over 30 languages. The stories are engaging and the pictures delightful. I love these books!!!

This entire Franklin series is fun. My kid had lots of fun hearing all the lovely stories from me. Also, each story teaches nice things. Everything in these books is just what I would want in a story book for my kid. Just the right amount of text, matched with lovely pictures, and a meaningful theme.

This is SO GOOD that you can see how the books are so good and cool it is the best book

It is very disappointing that the author does not allow Text to Speech on the Kindle ebook. That is the sole reason my student is using a Kindle....to have books read to him so he can enjoy the literature. This is a shame.
